How Tell Doc handles your data
Tell Doc is designed so your clinical story stays under your control. Here's exactly what happens to what you say.
Your health record stays on this device
Your recordings, transcripts, structured history and reports are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB) on the device you used. They are not sent to a Tell Doc server or database.
You choose when anything is shared
Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to share it. Sharing (PDF, copy, email or native share) only happens when you press the share action, and only what you select leaves the device.
What you say is processed to transcribe and organise it
To turn your speech into text and organise it into a structured history, the words you speak are sent to external AI services (speech-to-text, conversation and report generation). Tell Doc does not keep a server-side copy of your clinical record.
What Tell Doc does not do
- It does not diagnose, prescribe, or determine how urgent something is.
- It does not keep a server-side copy of your clinical record.
- It does not share anything until you choose to share it.
- It does not require an account, email or sign-up.
Tell Doc is a patient-side history companion, not a clinician-authored medical record. Reports are generated from information you report and review, to help your healthcare provider understand your story faster.
